We take the fixture the design calls for and we source it: confirming the right product, putting it out for competitive pricing across qualified manufacturers, managing lead times, and confirming DLC qualification before anything is ordered. The fixture that arrives on site is the one the engineering specified. You are not managing a separate vendor relationship or chasing down product on your own.

It means the fixture we recommend is the one your site needs, not the one a manufacturer pays us to push. Our specifications are written to performance parameters first. Then we source the product that meets those parameters. That objective independence is the difference between a recommendation built around your project and a recommendation built around someone else’s sales target.

Two ways. First, our specifications are written to performance, so once the design is set we can put the specified product out to multiple qualified manufacturers rather than accepting a single vendor’s number. The rebate eligibility is engineered into the specification, and procurement is where it can quietly fall apart. If a fixture gets substituted for one that is not on the DLC Qualified Products List, the incentive is gone, regardless of how the design was written. We confirm DLC qualification on every fixture before it is ordered, so the eligibility built into the design survives all the way to delivery.

Control of the procurement step. When the owner or general contractor buys fixtures separately, a substitution can slip in that looks similar on paper and fails in the field. Because OSL sources the fixture against the engineered specification, the product that ships is the product that was modeled. The photometrics hold, the rebate holds, and there is no surprise the night the lot goes dark.
